Location Information

Florida's Sun Coast is the area that lies along the Gulf Coast of the state within Pinellas County. It is also considered part of the Tampa Bay Area, being located west of Tampa on the Gulf of Mexico. Florida's Sun Coast extends from Tarpon Springs in the north, to Pass-a-Grille in the south and includes all the coastal communities of the Barrier Islands. The principle coastal communities of the Sun Coast area include Tarpon Springs, Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Clearwater, Bellaire Beach, Indian Rocks Beach, Indian Shores, Redington Beach, Madeira Beach, Treasure Island, St. Pete Beach and Pass-a-Grille. St. Petersburg, Largo and Seminole are also included in the Sun Coast area. Portions of St. Petersburg and Tampa are accessible by boat from Tampa Bay. The Sun Coast area is easily accessible from the north from US Hwy 19 and from the east and south via Interstate Bypass I-275 which runs west and south off of Interstate I-75 in Tampa.
